MPFI no fuel, no codes, please help
Problem solved!
It was wiring after all. We had a few pins crossed for the distributor wiring. Started right up on a d16a6 map loaded onto P28.
For any researchers in the future I have some notes. I can try to help if needed. Car was getting no fuel because the ecu didnt know to tell the injectors to fire.
Thanks for everyone's help.
**UPDATE***
-1990 DX
-D15B2 with D16A6 Intake manfold and Throttle Body.
-DPFI-->MPFI--OBD1 (using Rywire Harness, all wiring has been confirmed from ECU to injectors, and from distributor to ECU)
-P28 ECU-d16a6 map (tested, works)
-OBD1 P28 injectors (tested, works)
-D16Y8 distributor (unknown condition)***Update***I just checked resistance per Honda manual and the distributor shows 350-360 ohms across the distributor pins for each sensor. Hmmmm
-Fuel pump (stock, works fine with plenty of pressure at rail.)
Car is getting spark, and will run on starting fluid. However, the injectors are not firing. At key on, we are getting 12 vots to the injectors for a short time(around 3-4 seconds).
Also, we are getting a code 8 after cranking the car for 10+ seconds.

we manually ran a ground to the injects and they dumped gas as expected.
does pcm control power and ground to the injectors?

What actually tells the injectors to fire? From what ive read its a ground sent from the ECU...which ultimately comes from the distributor. IS this correct?
after cranking the car for 10-12 seconds a CEL finally does pop up and shows TDC error. Keep in mind the car runs on starting fluid, could the TDC really be a problem in this case?
This is driving me crazy!
Thanks for looking guys. ANy feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Power for injectors is supplied by the PGM-FI Main Relay, there should be power at the injectors as long as the ign. switch is on, not just 3-4 sec.
Confirm there is power, [while ign. switch in on] on the injector output lead of the PGM-FI Main Relay.
Sorry, not sure what color that lead is, it may be black/yellow, yellow/black, yellow/green, but on most Honda/Acura it is one of two leads that are the same color, the other is the fuel pump power lead, it will test as 12V+ for 2-3 sec. when ign. switch is turned on, [priming].
A ground pulse is supplied by the ECU/ECM to "fire" the injectors. 94

Thanks for the response.
We actually simulated constant juice by pinning a dedicated hot into the dead plug which feeds all of the injectors. Still no luck

Trying, but it seems there are two problems with the injectors, the 12V+ is not constant when ign. switch is on and they are not getting the ground pulse from the ECU/ECM
As per my suggestion, he must check the output of the fuel injector relay in the PGM-FI Main Relay, not only does it supply power for the injectors it also supplies power/12V+ signal to the ECU/ECM along with some engine sensor/valves.
It seems to be acting more like the fuel pump relays output, 12V+ for a few second when ign. is turned on and it should hot as long as ign. switch is in run and start. 94

I appreciate your help, thanks!
Tonight i'm going to double triple check all wiring and swap that distributor as well. I'm not really sure why the TDC code is firing...
As far as the ECU pulsing ground to the injectors, I think we actually did confirm that this was happening last night. Very weird issue.

the two yellow wires that we used under the hood are infact showing continuity with the main relay's fuel pump output.
That is the first problem.

WHat injectors are in the car? Did you keep resistor box and wiring intact? On code 8 That is the tdc sensor inside the distributor. Check for continuity of wht/blu, orange/blue from dist. connector back to ecm, check for continuity to ground from ecu connector to dizzy with dizzy plugged in. If you have it then the dizzy itself is bad. In any 88-91 the wires going into the distributor plug are likely to break right at the connector making it hard to notice. Worth checking.
OBD1 P28 injectors, no resistor box. Everything seems right. I'll go over the distributor wiring again. The car will run on starting fluid. It sparks just fine. just isnt pulsing the ground to the injectors. Which wire can I check coming out of the distributor that tells the ECU to fire the injectors?
