Default 07 civic lx 4dr wheel fitment questions.

hey guys so im somewhat new to this site i was on here long ago but got out of hondas for a while but now im back.im no newbie when it comes to the ef,eg,or ek's i have had several of them with built motors and what not.

so with that being said i just got an 07 civic lx 4dr this is just a DD and im going to start doing some exterior mods lip kits, springs , wheels and a few other things. im going for the jdm hellaflush look. my question to you guys is what size wheels can i fit with the stock struts just springs probably skunk 2 springs because i want to go low.

i was wondering if i would be able to fit something like a 17x8.5 +42 or somewhere around that size i am willing to run a slightly streched tire and do some fender rolling.thats not a problum i can do that myself. like i said im no newbie when it comes to wheel fitment either. i have an 04 sti with 18x10 +30 grids with 255/40/18 yokohama advan neova ado7 which are really like a 265 in diameter. so i know what it take to get hellaflush to fit just not on hondas.

so with all that being said please all you 06+ 4dr civic guys chime in and let me know what i can fit without doing coilovers and not hitting the strut on some flush wheels....

thanks guys...

-Rob

If you want flush for 17x8.5, offset should be around +30mm +/-5mm. You definitely want to go below +40.

Courtesy of Nerdrum (always has the best wheel fitments):

17x9 +28

I'm just wanted to show you the limits. Without c/o's go with what I said earlier.

anyone know if a 17x9 +30 wheel will clear the stock struts with just lowering springs?

which springs will get me low? im going for hellaflush not just flush. i know what it takes to get a car flush like my post says i have an 04 sti with 18x10 +35 and 255/40's so i know what it takes and i can do the work. i was just wondering if i could fit the 17x9 +30 with the stock struts and springs because the subaru is a totally different car and has lots more room. but i was able to fit 18x9 +35 with 245/40's with my stock struts and springs. but was not able to clear the stock strut with the 18x10 +30 so i need coilovers to get them to work along with some fender rolling and pulling and adjustable lateral links. the car is a track car so i have a pretty agressive allignment and camber settings aswell.

so which springs will get me low?

heres some pics of my flush sti this is sort of the look im going for on my DD civic.

nuespeed race will drop 2in. speedtechs go low i think thats what they called. even the progress springs drop lower than s2.

skunk2 is supposed to be like 1.5 but really like 1.2.

this is mine on s2 springs. im planning on doing coils later this summer when i get home from school.

its not low enough to be flush at all

yea definitely dont do s2 if u wanna be "hellaflush"

ull probably wanna get camber arms so u can make the wheels fit.

check out this thread. if u read thru it there is actually a ton of info on great setups. in the beginning its weak but gets better

ok i found some wheels i like but more questions if i go with the nuespeed race springs 2" drop on oem struts. with the rota p45r in 17x9 +25 and probably go with a stretch tire to fit them like a 235/40 or 235/35 will i have strut clearance? or will i hit the strut and is it a must to do a camber kit with this setup?
