ok so i have a 92 hatch with a b18c1 and i put the motor in got everything hooked up and checked it more then twice. it was throwin some easy to fix codes until i pinned in the knock sensor. and they all went away. vtec is kicking in and everything but its basically u coukld say has no ***** its wayy slow.. what could it be? its till runnin off open header could this be bad? no codes what so ever

 

running open headers will lack alot of power on a import with out turbo right now im having problem with my iab since im running a p28

you should not lack power even open header, what ecu are you running? it could be possible that your iab's are not opening...

 

a p72. and thats what we though so i checked the vacuum and its all hooked up. so idk.. im just relly confused and frustrated.

before vtec and partially through till bout 6400 the motor has no power and then once that mark it starts to pull better. and my plugs are basically white whats my problem im lost.....

 

Exactly how dos one "run open header" and have a turbo? You're making it sound like "running open header" is better with a turbo. Do you understand why I'd point this out?

To the Op:

Have you checked the timing yet? i don't just mean ignition timing that's adjusted at the distributor, but also the timing belt/cam/crank timing. It's possible to have the belt off a tooth or more and run terrible, yet throw no codes.

Do you know how to check the timing belt timing?

 

not really no. like i have s budy comin over in a few ill ask him to check it hes a certified honda mechanic. but like i got the motor from hmotors and then put a new water pump and timing belt on it, so its possible but idk. lol.

 

so had my buddy come over figured out it was off a tooth thank god it didnt break anything or bend lol
