Ok, I put a b16a into my 96 dx coupe using the del sol bracket to mount my compressor up to. My question is, can I re use my d series idler pulley and bracket/adjuster screws? How did any of you guys do it? Please help, it's like 95 degrees here and i'm missin my a/c!

 

im not sure... but when i did the b16a sir2 swap into my 96 EJ8 they said the only way i would have ac is to get everything from the 92-93 delsol w/ the b16. The pulley ur tryin to use would be the right size. I didnt car about ac at first cuz of the few extra ponies u get... but i understand ur pain. my car isnt a track car right now so my comfort is more important. good luck wit that one and try to stay cool.

 

when i swaped my 00 ek i reused my ac compressor and lines fromm my d16 on my type r motor that i installed and my friend showed me how to hook up the d series compressor on the type r motor with out using a del sol ac bracket the first two bolts on the d series compresor will bolt up to the b series bracket just fine and everything works perfect just buy a b16 ac belt and install it and you will have ac. now im not to sure on the tensioner pully but i just got one off of a old ls block my friend had laying around and used it. i can send pics to show you how i have mine installed if that would help

when i had my gsr in the ek.. i used a crv ac bracket.. it came with the idler pulley though.. doubt you could you the d series pulley..

 

no u cant use the pulley off a d series bracket on a b series. you mod a b series to fit a d series compressor
