new rideline owner
I recently purchased an 06 Ridgeline RTL, it has 28,000 miles and im not really familiar with Honda ingenuity and want to know if there are any major mechanical problems that anyone has encountered. Does anyone know if the valves ever have to get adjusted? and if so when?
Go to the honda dealer and have your 30k service which should include all your fluids changed...ex.. oil, coolant, rear diff fluid( which by the way will make your rear make funny noises if not changed) not sure about trans...but depending on who owned that truck they may have taken good care of it...other than that enjoy the truck...I've had mine for 2 yrs now and have enjoyed it. I tow my crx on a trailer, and haven't had any major issues yet.
Congrats on the purchase. Honestly, compared to other models the Ridgeline has had very few things cause problems. They are very reliable. I would suggest going through the owners manual and checking to see if all recommended work has been completed thus far.
For the valves, technically they don't need to be adjusted till they are noisy. For piece of mind, ~ 105-120k.
