HID installation
has anybody put on hid by themselves do you have to take the bumper off cuz my friend has a TL and he had to take his bumper off or does anybody have the instruction lmk guys and thnx!
do one side at a time...... jack your car up take off your wheel then peel back your fender liner and you"ll have direct acess to your headlight bulbs on both sides. the pass side is a little tighter than the driver but just take your time. This is how i did mine and it was easy no need to take off bumper and lights and put them back on just 2 wheels and some clips
we put mine in without taking the wheel off or jacking up the car. all we did was turn the wheel to one side. and also make sure when you put them in, the crystal tube faces down. if not your lights arent going to be aligned like mine were before.
As it says to do in the owners manual. Imagine all the forehead slapping that would go on if people would read their owners manual.
had my bumper off already and it didnt make a difference how easy it was from doing my friends. just turn the wheel sharp. lifting it up makes it a lil easier too.
I can literally have my bumper off in less than two minutes. It's really no hassle at all. And it makes it a lot easier than trying to squeeze my big hands/forearms in from the fenderwell.

I just did mine today. I had my bumper off a cpl weeks ago to install OEM foglights and didn't feel like doing it again. I just pulled back my wheel well and put er in.
I got the kit shipped from here. http://www.extremelightz.com/hid_kits.htm
I also have the pics at http://harrimanburchill.com/civic/hid/

One is bolted to the ECU tray, the other just mounted to some frame with clearance.
- DO NOT MOUNT THEM TO ANY SCREW THAT HAS A YELLOW WIRE/ATTACHMENT ON IT -
This will compromise your airbags. And if you see a green one, that's for Hybrid. Don't touch it.
