URGENT!! Car just DIED
this is very important because i have drill tomarrow and i have to be at my unit early and i have no ride except my car..so this is what happened
i was driving down a gravle road and i was shifting from first to second..and the gear grinded really bad and then the car just stalled out and died..like if you were to take off in 4th gear.
i tried to start the car again and it puttered like it would be a fuel problem..it did that twice intill the car just turned over and wouldn't start..
their is no check engine light may be because the motor was swaped in it.
the car had a full take of gas, and i put in just a qt of oil to see if something interally but the car is holding the oil.
i do have a short ram intake, it has been raining but i've been careful to not hit any puddles, and the intake doesnt get water in it at least not that much...but this could be my shitty day.
A few days back i did pull of the distributor to try and put on a MSD one but i ended up putting the old one back. the car has ran since that with no problems...
so im kinda of confused to this..my brother told me that i could of hydro locked my motor, or timing could have jumped...i did check the timing at least with the two upper cam gears and they line up...
so if anyone has any idea let me know i have a box of tools ready to go..

Well open that dizzy cap, that rotor bolt might have came off, and now you have no spark...Also could be ignitor, a cloged fuel filter, or a bad fuel pump...Was it misfiring prior to the stall? Did it have a hard time starting, the last time you turned it on?
