ok guys so i finally got my shocks and im ready to put them in so i take off the damper fork and they wont fit!! i have a 97 ej6 and i bought tokico hp's. why cant i get them to fit in? is there any way to widen the damper fork?

 

Stick the bottom end of the fork in a vice, just to hold it. Take a big flathead screwdriver and pry the slit open, where the bolt goes through to clamp the shock in, and the shock should fit in there easily.

 

yeah man i tried that many times ive stretched it out pretty far and the damn shock still wont fit in. i ordered the right shock for my car so i have no clue why its not fittin it. it should be a simple twist
