Which Type R are you talking about? There are a few out there. The EK9 and EP3 wheel will definitely not fit, and I'm not really sure about the NSX-R but I doubt it fits. The DC5, Accord, and the newer Civics will not work either.

But the DC2 ITR wheel will, this one:

The EF and DC steering hubs are not the same, but are slightly different--enough that you can run EG/DC hubs on an EF. I have a Momo hub on my EF that's actually for an EG, and it works fine, it's just ever so slightly loose.

AFAIK you can't make it detachable, because you'd have to attach the wheel to a QR, and I think the ITR wheel has the hub built in to it:

If you can take the hub off the wheel, then you could hook it to a QR. However, I don't know if that's possible. I do know that you can use the (for example) Honda Access steering wheels to a QR because they have a standard 6 bolt pattern that will attach to any hub. That's what I'm using in my EF.

Well if you like that wheel, check out some of Momo's other wheels, like the Tuner, Corse, Monte Carlo, etc etc. That would be really easy to hook up to any hub/QR you want, not to mention you can get a proper DA/EF hub that actually fits and will let you use a horn
