Default Heading to the Track Today!!

Yess, I'm finally hittin' the track for the first time in a year, omg. So last time I ran my car I was bone stock with bald stock Michelin's and I hit a 15.7. 22whp and 6tq later, along with the help of some tires with actual tread on them I'm heading out to the local drag strip for "High School Drags" lol. Hopefully with the more experience I have in driving my car and the few mods I have I can pull a decent time. I was wondering what some of you EP guys are running with and I/RH/E set up. I've been told with a good driver I should be able to dip into the high 14's, is that true? I post some time slips on Monday when I'm back at "work" lol.

yeah, you can hit high 14's with cai,rh,e some good sticky tires and a good launch. I've seen cai,rh,e ran 15.1 & 15.2 so I believe high 14's can be done on k20a3 with full interior and no slicks. And another part of it is elevation.

I know our track times here in WA are always a lot slower than other areas. I hope I can pull it out haha, I've raced plenty of 14 second cars and won lol. we will just have to wait and see.

track note......track prep is everything, they can prep the track for low traction and for high traction....for club events they like to prep for low traction.....do you know why? Stickie tracks = blown axles, trans, motors ect.....slick track = everyone spinning their wheels but not dumping crap all over the track......How do you tell?.....look at the number of people working "at" he track....if there are only 2-3....that track is glass! If you see more than 3, you have a full crew and thats whats needed for track cleaning when stuff brakes.

^^ That is good to know. Too bad I wasn't able to go hahaha. I'm pissed but hey, what can you do. I had some stuff come up that I needed to deal with. Hopefully when the weather is nice again I can make my way out.
