do ALL obd1 P72 ECU's have the 2nd circuit board on top upside down?

I can't remember, but I think they do. I am wanting to buy this kid's ecu and the label is taken off. Just wanted to know because that would verify that it is indeed an OBD1 P72 ECU.

 

Yes; that is the knock sensor board.

 

ya thats what I thought. All P72 ECU's have the small 2nd circuit board that is upside across from where the chip goes.

 

USDM P30s are full sized ECUs and also have a knock board. Make sure it's a P72 by finding "273" on the 66207 64 pin processor next to where the chip goes.

 

is anybody here know how to install hondata s300/s300j to P72 ecu?
and how to relocate the 2nd board ?

It is the same procedure as any other ecu...
You do not need to relocate the knock board.

 

dont you mean jdm p30?
I have a jdm p30 sitting next to me (square box..) and it has the knock board.
Or am i understanding you wrong?

 

USDM P30s are full sized ECUs and have a knock board as well, as stated in what you quoted. He said there's no label on the one he's trying to buy so I was telling him how to confirm it's a P72.

The JDM ECUs have them as well, but he didn't mention anything about JDM.
