Default ITR cluster compatibility btwn years

Would a 2000-01 ITR cluster plug and play into a 98? I am concerned about the immobilizer key light being on all the time. The reason I ask is because my 98 was stolen and recovered, and the cluster was stolen. I need a replacement one.

I would like to see different pinouts as well. I recieved a JDM ITR cluster from a friend but the temp. & fuel gauge don't work on my '01. I believe the cluster is for a 96 spec jdm itr.

Just as long as you have the green film for the year of your vehicle, the cluster should work fine. I plugged a '97 ITR cluster into my '00 and all the needles shot up and bounced like a richter scale when I turned it over.

Swapped green flim/backing from a '00-01 and it worked perfectly.

if the immobilizer light were to be on, just remove the bulb.

I'm well aware of swapping out the green film, but I don't have my orignal 01 cluster, thats why I would like to see the pinouts
