i took out the restrictor plate between the intake manifold and the carb on my STD hatch and my idle started going up and down constantly why? i put it back on and now its back to normal.. also the gas pedal was tight when i took it off?? if i keep it on but just bore it out will it work and give me more power?

that plate inside ur trotle body its there to regulate the amount of air that goes in there and to give it a way to go in...... kinda like routes the air inside....without route it just goes in by crazy suction........ leave it in there! no need to take it out....
