Icon2 Anyone else experience this after ASR install?

So I've had my ASR and CTR swaybar on for about a year. Shortly after I installed it I was hearing some clunking noises when ever I'd hit a bump. Sounded like there was metal sockets clunking around in a gutted trunk. At first I thought it was the endlinks, so I replaced the Blox endlinks with factory Si endlinks. But this hasn't seem to fix the problem. So I thought maybe my endlinks were hitting something, but there seems to be plenty of clearance. Anyone have any suggestions? Lately I've just cranked the volume on the radio so I wouldn't have to hear the clunk clunk clunk, but now that were having nicer weather I can really hear the noise now with the windows down

No, the exhaust or the hangers aren't hitting anything.

I was also experiencing clearance issues with the exhaust. How are you checking that it is not the exhaust making the noise?? You should be checking it with the car on the floor at your normal ride height.

It doesnt really sound like an ASR/Swaybar problem. If it is not your exhaust, then it is time to troubleshoot. Remove the swaybar and see if the noise goes away. Check if there is any loose bolts on the ASR. Etc.

I've checked my exhaust when it was jacked up and when it was on the ground (car's not lowered). Yeah I'll remove the swaybar and see if I notice any difference. Thanks for your help guys.

It isn't the brace.i got the same set up on my em1. I got the same noise and its my trunk lid, it doesn't bother me so i never looked into it to actually see what it was. it makes the same noise when i shut it so i am just putting one and two together.

Trunk lid? I have the asr setup and I notice a lot of clunking around too, I just figured it was my Blox endlinks. My coupe was totally silent before the setup so that's why I don't think it would all of a sudden be the trunk lid.

i mean it could be, but i mean i was just taking a guess because mine rattled a little before but as far as the set up everthing should be tight so nothing should clink man.

I took off just the swaybar and endlinks this past weekend. Then went for a drive, I didn't hear any clunking or anything. So I put back the endlinks and saybar, and after several days of driving I haven't heard any clunking. So I must of overlooked something loose before, hopefully this will be the end of it.

Hmmm maybe something just loosened up over time? Good to know though, maybe I should try this out!
