Post YS1 internals.. LS Tranny

Im doing a project, i have a b17a ys1 transmission, but its a cable transmission so i want to put the b17 1-4th gear in the LS hydro transmission but keep the ls Loooooong 5th gear.. is this all possible you think?
If so, how do you do it? Because i have never swapped transmission internals before, or even looked at transmission internals haha
