H23 to H22 swap ?'s
So I spun a bearing on my stock h23 and instead of rebuilding I'm going to take this opportunity to put in an H22. I have a '93 Prelude w/ 4WS.
My questions:
Will swapping ecu's affect my 4WS?
Will the v-tec sub-harness from rywire work w/ my oem harness?
And I'd like opinions on this ?:
Should I leave my H23 tranny on w/ the H22 motor or get an H22 tranny OR I now have an H22 (m2y4) tranny sitting around that I can use but I am unsure if that will affect anything...?
Your help and opinions are very much appreciated.

Swapping ECU's will not affect your 4WS. 4WS has it's own computer and is a separate system.
Just use your H23 harness and run the two wires for the VTEC system.
As for the tranny. I would look up the ratios and decide what you want to do. When I did my swap I just kept my H23 transmission.

Agreed,I also have an h23 tranny mated w a jdm h22a and I really like it,I always thought I was missing out on the h22 tranny's,but after driving my friends 95 w m2a4 and a h22,I didnt even notice it,well barely.....maybe its alot different w the m2b4(lsd) than the others but for me it wasnt worth the purchase of a new/used tranny.
The tranny m2y4 will bolt right up to any h22 if im not mistaken, and If u have to swap the motor anyway and u have the extra tranny laying around,I dont see why u wouldnt just throw it on together.Good luck with the swap.

That is true. might as well do it now. I'm thinking in budget-mode right now so that didnt even cross my mind. Thanks everyone! I think I'm all set.
