as the titel already says,I'm new here so i just wanted to say hello, and present me Honda CRX ED9. Here some features:

D16Z5 Dohc 16v Motor

DC headers( wrapped with exhaust wrap)
Shaved Cylinder head
Cold Air Intake
Sport exhaust (Anza Exhaust)
Sport Shocks
Body Kit

So this is ME with my Crx , i'm workin on it for couple weeks now,slow processes but it's gettin there ..










Hope to get some good feedback, tips, and comments of would could be done better.

Thanks for you welcome, I already like this forum very much, and there are a lot of smart Honda freaks out here that know their way around engine and tuning it self !

Here are some more pics of the whole car, they're a little bit older , but you can get a brief idea of what it look like.Not a lot of people like my style of tuning, saying bodykit and stuff, because JDM is like the **** right now, everybody's goin JDM I'm still sticking with my own style

Hey guys,

Right now with the headers+downpipe, cold-air intake, anza exhaust, JET-perfomance modual , and some other minor stuff i'd say i'm pushing about 140-160hp but haven't been on a dyno yet, afraid of the results you know always seems more than it actually is ^^

Well I was thinkin bout putting a turbo (garret, maybe greddy) on it with a blitz intercooler combo, and all the other nice stuff you need to put a turbo on the car.

The thing is i'm in high school right now, in germany,and probably end up leaving next year summer for the states. So i don't know what to do with the car yet.. it sucks cause i've aready put a lot of work into the car..

I was thinkin about painting it just don't know what color? Maybe a Pearl white ,and get the wheels redone in a gunmetal grey . But yeah don't wanna put too much in the car if i end up leaving...

I will put current pics up on monday cause i still had a couple aus questions, for exhample it's a D16Z5 motor, but it says D16A6 ?? Since the D16z5 is dual overhead cam amd a d16a6 is sohc i have no idea what i'm looking at.

Does anyone have tips for fitting a bodykit, cause some edges on my don't seem to fit exactly and makes the car look ratty. I don't wanna use bonda because it breaks or cracks to fast.
Any tips?

 

hood looks crazy, never seen that before, it would look 10000000x better if it did have all the crap cut in the middle of it, and the rear bumper just, i dunno about that, but hey i like the setup. for being unique

About the rear , yeah i was thinkin about changing it, it's so huge, but i don't know what bumer i could get.

welcome to honda tech. looks unique, but i like the stock look more. clean crx though. hey i was wondering if you know anywhere to pick up a set of LHD power windows and door panels that come in the crx in germany? i am looking for a set for my crx build. thanks for any help.

 

if you change the back bumper of the body kit you will probably have to change the front and sides so they match together. just look around and see what looks nice to you. everyone has there own taste. you have to like it, dont worry about everyone else.

 

@clovis88crx: Uhm I don't know sorry, I didn't know that they had power windows, except for the EE8 ( almost same as ED9,just with vtec) ,uhm you could check the german Ebay.de for example but i can ask some buds of mine they can get about anything for rexes. So I'll let you know

You're right, unless i find something that matches with the rest, i wanna keep the front set up though, it make the CRX so aggressive and mean looking i just love it
Yeah Stock rexes look awesome too if they're clean ! I've seen a couple of nice ones.

If you know a little german go to Maxrev.de it's the equivalent of honda-tech just in german, lot's of parts u can find there.(I know i shouldn't be spaming like this lol)

Uhm yeah, what motor does your CRX have, is it the D16A6 vtec, or D16A9,which is similar to the D16Z5 ,just with out Kat?

 

It is very unique and thats the great thing about modding cars is you can do it however YOU want. Props for sticking to your guns and not following the fads. Front almost looks like an EG to me.

I also like the wheel and tire combo. I kinda like how the wheels stick out a little further. Are you running a crazy offset or using wheel spacers?

It's a crazy offset hahah the tires stick out the wheelwells about 1-2 inches hahahha
I'm running 195/ 55/ 15's and the offset is 7J But the wheels weren't made for honda, even though they are 4x100.
And I guess i'm to lazzy to widen the fenders
The inspection guy HATES me lol ahhahaha

That's nice to hear, took me a while to mod the hood, but i guess it seemed to turn out good then

 

I kinda like the hood. Would serve a purpose especially if you boosted with getting the hot air out of the engine bay. :thumbsup:

 

Welcome, dood. You got a set of wheel spacers on that thing or are the wheels really wide?
