Default Anyone using this cold air intake?

I saw one of these on craigs list for 20 bucks and bought it, I was wondering if anyone here has installed it in their prelude?

Oh, you got half of an intercooler with one side of piping.

Put a bypass where your air filter is suppose to go. You don't wanna hydrolock during the rain (if you get rain/puddles where you are)

LOL thats why its calle Hater-Tech.....looks like its just a gigantic cai,but for 20$ what do u have to lose? Instal it and mash around, and see if your butt dyno likes it....if not return to ur previous intake and pretend u just ordered a pizza with that 20$ instead of buying a garage ornament, lol

For anywhere except Arizona/Death Valley, that is known as the RAM Water Intake.

I got a flow stack already, just got this for the hell of it, I think it would look nice like an intercooler, I can always exchange them.

Hawkze_2.3.... LOLZ! epic picture

but yea, there not popular because of these reasons,

-poor flow because so many bends and flat filter, cone style filters are MUCH better flowing

-ever look at your front bumper after night (or day) driving, see how many bugs, stone chips, and crap get on the front of it? well its all gonna end up in your air filter.

-ebay piping like that is VERY thin and tends to scrape through if it rubs only a little bit.

-replacement filters are gonna be a bitch to find

-everytime you wash ur car its gonna get soaked, or drive in the rain

Height has nothing to do with it. As stated above, if you drive in the rain, you simply cannot avoid getting your filter wet.

nothing wrong with a wet filter, its solid amounts of water getting to your cylinders thats the issue. but it is a small pipe, so it will be easier for the water to get up in there
