Car vibrates alot after axle replacement
ok so i replaced both my axles on my dc and now im getting a vibration that mostly happens in second gear low to mid range rpms also happens under kinda hard acceleration....i already took out both axles and replaced them again and made sure all was tight....its getting pretty annoying since its my dd so any help would be greatly appreciated!!
Ya i am going to use napa cause even the guy that works at autozone told me not to buy them. They were 70 bucks each there plus 20 core and 40 bucks at napa plus 11 core.
I put autozone axles on mine. Same **** you're experiencing, they're crap. I got the new ones too, not remanfs but they just suck.
Ima take them back and try Napa ones and see if that helps, if not ima get some raxles for $129 a piece + $30 shipping.

you guys basically have this figured out. autozone axles suck. raxles are great and some of the better parts stores like napa or our baxters here in the nw sell, well, not high quality but at least non vibration axles. i have 12k miles on some decent remans with no issues.

I haven't had any problems w/ my oreilly axle :-\
But if it's vibrating on acceleration, it's the inner joint.

If they vibrate during acceleration, that means the inner joints are bad. In many cases they're bad right out of the box, as you have already experienced.
Just put my napa remans in last weekend and then took the car up a steep hill and the car ran better on then it did before I changed them. Had alittle more power and the car shifted smoother (auto tranny).
