painted or flat black look
I've been in a debate with my friends about the color of my car for a while now.. my car is orginally painted black but my front end is painted a nice flat black.. i say that when hondas are painted a flat black with no clear coat it looks like it needs to be painted from others point of view, but when its painted a nice paint it looks finished and not like its waiting to be painted.. i saw a brand new lexus gs painted a flat black and i thought it was dope because you know it was already painted but that guy went out of his way and painted it again.. maybe flat black is only nice on new cars.. idk.. everyones input is welcome. let me hear your opinions

real paint gun> spray can....any flat black car looks good when its done the right way... most kids spray can their cars which looks like ***... do it right or dont do it at all
i think flat black looks good on big cars like suvs or some sports cars. I don't know if any of you guys have seen the 2009 lambos but the paint is pretty flat and i thought it looks sick especially in person.

The flat look is cool but not on a "cheap-ish" car. It just makes hondas look even more cheap. Luxury cars on the other hand look dope as hell. Makes them different than the norm.
I think clearcoat is always best... it doesn't scratch off or chip off as easily and it's easier to cut and buff your car because you won't be taking all of your color off.
There is such a thing called "Hot Rod Black" Comes out of a REAL Paint gun and it's gangster as ****. That's what i would do IMO.
a properly done flat black car can look very good. a rattle can will look like ****, and its HARD to get off when it comes time to paint it for real..
i rattle canned my car one time, and it was a huge pain in the *** to take off, it doesnt sand well, it sticks to the sand paper.
save yourself some time, money and frustration and save up for a quality paint job. then decide if you want it flat/matte or gloss
Do it right! Don't spray can it!
And i seen a Dam Hummer base black and it was ****ing bad ***!!!
0 ya, and without a clear coat to protect your paint over time it will quickly fade and look like **** no matter how good of a job you do. the clear coat is to protect the base coat. the sun will fry your base coat if not.
