Is there any love for the D15B2?
Just like the title says, is there any love for a completely 100% stock D15B2 with DPFI?? I have a 90 sedan completely stock, DPFI and all. Im even running my stock 13in steelies, and I love it. Sure I will buy a hatch and do a swap ect in the near future, but this sedan is staying stock. I love reading the posts about swaps, mods, ect and I really respect those who do all their work themselves. I will be doing this on a second car soon. I know my car is not a rocket, its actually very slow, but I am getting the best gas millage per gallon I have ever had, the car is ultra reliable for having 225K on complete stock drivetrain. I drool over K20 swaps, of course who wouldnt, but I am proud to be a D15B2 DPFI. Is there anyone out there as happy as me with their stock ride???
P.S. Does anybody know the stock number for the automatic transmission dip stick??? I dont think mines the original since it keeps popping out.

D-series ftw.
I have a 1991 sedan, lowered on coilovers, everything else is stock. 130k on the clock, headgasket is going and water pump failed on me. I still love it though, puts a smile on my face when I get 40+ mpg on fill ups
The D VS B series has been debated to death, each one has its pros and cons

haha i have all of you guys beat... I have a 91 4 dr thats all stock except for coilovers, LS Meshies, HID's, and JDM side markers and a stereovsuet up... I'm at 336,788 miles... This is still the original motor and transmission and I have all the matching paper work and info on this car with a clean titile, AC, Power Windows, Power Locks, Cruise Control...
I put a minimum of 50miles a day on her and she still keeps on rollin for me...Ill Post pics up a lil later...

i love mine :] 91 sedan dx stock except slammed on coilovers, hx's and a mugen lip. I have the bumpers painted too look like its a LX though. 250k on the clock just changed the timing belt and water pump and some other misc shizzz
I love it, I have rebuilt 2 B2's in the past year for my CRX and my dad's del sol. For how CHEAPPPPP and reliable, I cant beat it. I have too many speeding tickets anyway to drive a monster power house motor anyway, 92 hp is just enough to keep me out of trouble
i love mine too. the motor is completely stock for now. will be doing a vtec swap later this summer tho. the engine is fine but i just want more power out of it. it has around 250,000 miles on it. the exterior has wheels, coilovers and a bike rack. and it always gets attention over the eg's and ek's.
I thought my 91 Civic's DPFI stock setup was great. My 93 Civic's MPFI is supposed to get better mileage per fueleconomy.gov, but so far my 93's MPG is a bit below my old 91's. I was wondering about this. Car weights are very close. So theories to explain the MPG difference are: The DPFI is really a modified carburetor setup and a rarety (as fans probably know). Supposedly with MPFI you get better overall burning of the fuel; injecting directly into each cylinder's intake has its advantages. Both designs for 91 and 93 have the same compression ratio; yet the 93 Civic gets about 10 more hp. The stock manual trannies do have slightly different gearing for 2nd through 5th gears. I do think my 93 is peppier (better acceleration). My DPFI engine sounded more like purring. The MPFI sounds more mechanical (due to four injectors clicking in synch with the crankshaft? it is not the valves).
