Default leaking master cylinder

hey guys, so I notice today that my master cylinder is leaking inside the car

this steming from filling the clutch reservoir maybe once evry two-three weeks

but my question is this : is there anything I can do to prevent it from leaking without buying a new one or just waiting for it to fail completly???

car shifts like it always has and well doesnt drink a whole lot of fluid just filling it maybe once evry 2-3 weeks driving the car about 100km a day

thx for any advice

I wouldn't wait for it to completely fail. If your clutch is working fine, at this point, go ahead and get another master cylinder, soon. Don't wanna take the chance with a leaky cylinder while driving. You might be coming to a stop and not be able to get it out of gear, and BANG. Happened to an ex roommate and i in his 82 Camaro. CLutch or tranny was on it's way out, can't remember which, and he couldn't get it out of gear, properly. We rear ended some dude in a minivan. It sucked. Scared the **** outta us and the dude we hit.

yeah i'm probably getting a new one soon...priced it today at 123$ CND at one of the nearest dealerships

but the thing is really weird i drove 250km today and she didn't leak at all so i'm puzzled

gonna take it apart next week to have a better look at it and then will probably order in the new one

I have the same problem with my master cylinder. Sometimes it needs to be topped up as the car wont get out of gear. I just drive around with brake fluid, works great
