Default Real Automotive Paint for cheap????

wassup people i had a post about what was better between rusto and marine paint and a couple of folks were saying that there is Real Automotive paint for the price i would be doing the 50 dollar diy job for. I wanted to know where on the web can i find some CHEAP resonable automotive paint at. Ive heard ppg is some pretty good paint but i dont know where to buy it from and the cost.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated

Don't bother, you won't find. I priced how much it would be for a single stage urethane in the same color (roughly the same color) as my car. Apparently reds are more expensive and whites aren't as expensive. Go figure. (Thanks Honda) So to lay the red single stage urethane, I will also need a primer. To go with the primer I need a catalyst. Those two alone are, take a guess....did you guess? $47.37 (with tax). So there's your $50 paint job right there...only you have no paint.

Just primer.

Now I'm sure you could find some stuff cheaper online, but you still won't have nearly[/I] enough money to buy paint. The paint that I'm looking to buy instead of using the Rusto is going to run me over $150 with the paint and associated fluids (I forget exactly what else I need with the single stage at the moment.) So that's my first hand experience with it.

Local shop quoted me $180 for enough to prime and paint my Integra silver. I think that was for a gallon sprayable, but it might have been 3 quarts. I believe it was a low end PPG paint.

restorationshop.com They should pay me for referring so many people to them.

You can get all your supplies for like 250 bucks. That's about as good as your going to get.

Think this has been covered before but tcpglobal.com or tcpglobal on ebay have had the cheapest prices around. Just search for urethane paint on ebay and they have the complete kits for $180 without primer. Primer's maybe about $40 or so.

ppg has a lower end line called OMNI which i have sprayed and it sprays nice and the clear shines well for the money. just make sure you buff the clear about 10-12 hours after its dried or else its like concrete to buff

TRY THIS ONE....... www.Automotivetouchup.com Ive been buying from them for a while and haven't done me wrong. I think its pretty cheap compared to local shops that will mix up my paint... first check out the website and then give them a call over the phone..there good people.. If u are planning to paint any plastic flexible parts MAKE SURE U TELL THEM U WANT "FLEXIBLE AGEN" IN YOUR PAINT. or else your paint will crack on flexible parts. if Ur painting a new bumper do not sand it down. leave it smooth. so if ur painting a new bumper then u will need adhesion promoter for the paint to stick..but first wipe the bumper down with some prep spray to remove oils and such.(u can find it at kragen). if ur bumpers old then sand it down and add primer and then ur base coat..no adhesion promoter needed. They also sale aerosol spray paint in a can. ready for u to spray. so if u have small projects like ur buumper or skirts then use the spray can. its easy to use. its ready to paint.
