What's Up With This Forum Lately? Newbies Hating On Newbies?
I've seen alot of people calling others "newbie" and crap for sometimes legit topics.
What's up with this?
In my time here I don't think I've come out and called someone a newbie but maybe 3 times or so, and trust me they totally deserved it.
I see some potentially good threads getting hacked by others who don't even help with the question at all. All they do is come in and rip on someone for having a stupid question when in fact it seems like a pretty good one.
I'm not talking about the apparent ones like the dumbass conversions and crap like the majority of us can't stand, but more the logical questions.
I think a lot of times people misword a topic and that would otherwise be a good question.
Example?
"What Will My Car Run If I Do This To It?"
Yeah that just sucks. None of us can predict how another guy's car is going to run. Too many factors involved, etc. I personally get annoyed to no end with this question, but here's another way to word it so that it's better:
"What Kind of Times Do You Guys That Have This Mod/Engine See?"
That's the kind of question that's more easily answered.
Whenever I have a question about a future mod, I'll usually qord it like that and in the post body I'll specify that if you have no hands-on experience with the product or mod in question, then please don't reply.
This is a message board. We are all here for a common reason (most of us anyway) and that is to discuss and learn from each others' experiences, and sometimes each others' mistakes.
I like to hear from others who have the experience with different ****.
If someone asks how much whp they got from a product and there's a 30whp difference then perhaps someone will learn that he has something wrong with his set-up or that another guy is making way over the normal power.
That is why I'm here.
I like to learn from others and share my own personal experiences.

Well said. The other thing that makes me mad are the people that think being on H-T is directly correlated to your knowledge of Hondas and other cars.

I agree with B18C5-EH2 100%. I feel that if people would put a little more thought into there question there wouldn't be a problem or even if they did a search. I know I use the search alot and I have found plenty of info to answer my question and beyond.
Why does a topic like this not get locked or removed from this forum? This has nothing technical to do with EG/EK's or Del Sol's. Shouldnt this be in the Members forum?
I understand what your saying, dont get me wrong, I just feel that people who have been here a while and are friends with mods, get to do things that others wouldnt.
I havent been here as long as you, so im sure ill get a lot of **** for saying this, I just feel that too many threads are locked or deleted just because a "newbie" or whatever asks a question that someone whos been here longer doesnt like, but then threads that are way off topic in the wrong forum get to go on like this one!
Thats just my thoughts. Thanks

Maybe because it has everything to do with this particular forum?
I'm actually trying to promote a higher sense of respect for each other in this thread and you want it locked?
Whatever.
I don't give 2 squirts of **** if it gets locked or not, but I'm just letting you know what I've observed here, that's all.

Now this thread has something technical in it.
The USDM B18C5 has a compression ratio of 10.6:1.

Your a good man
!! Ill drop it now before it gets me banned. I sometimes rant, pay no attention to me.
The reason it doesn't get locked is becasue it is a good topic. Unlike the other topics I see on here to the effect of " S2000 conversion"," Which bodykit", "What color"or the ever so popular "what rims".
