so i picked up a 97 gsr and i cant figure out whet throttle cable to use. the gsr dont work and i bought a new type r one from the dealer and that dont work.
i have a b18b bottom end with a jdm b16 head. before i waste anymore money can anyone tell me what to get. ls maybe??????

 

Someone correct me if im wrong but dont B16/LS/B20 motors use LS throttle cables?

Post a pic of your engine, that'll help...

ls/b16/itr should be all the same. try changing the trottle cable "bracket/mount" on the throttle body.

these are what i tried. keep in mind i have a type r throttle cable mounting bracket.

sohc d16z6 civic too short
dohc b18c integra gsr too short
dohc b18c integra type r too long

which throttle body are you using?

 

on my ls/vtec i am using a ls throttle body and ls throttle cable bracket with my stock civic cable lol

 

jdm type r throttle body

yeah, sohc throttle cable should work. are you sure you're intstalling it correctly?
