Can I clear 05 sedan stock tail lights?

Default Can I clear 05 sedan stock tail lights?

I want to clear out the red film from the stock headlights so they look like this
Can this be done? any diy's? or simple instructions?

Considering the exterior plastic is red plastic, you won't be able to clear them at all.

.... because? that would be a great statement if you included a reason... btw, you do know that many cars come with them clear, stock. and that when you hit the brakes the light is still going to be red?

and my reason is that there are 3 colors on my car. silver tan and black, all around, the red tails, just stand out.

Is it true that the red is part of the plastic housing? ... really dont plan on ordering the clear tails

Well, post count really doesn't account for knowledge. The fact that I've been a moderator of the 2001-2005 Civic section for more than 2 years and wrote the FAQ thread should, though.
