just read over my CU's loan policy; car has to be 2002+. we'll see though

 

its high mileage, needs a new top, tires, and been driven on a off and on CEL....not worth it

 

You can find similar deals price wise but in better condition. This one sounds a little rough to me

 

You cannot get a used car loan for that, it's too old. But seems like a reasonable deal to me. He probably has a test pipe on the car and that is what is causing the CEL. If not, then you need to find out what is before you buy it.

 

I'd be interested to know where you are finding said deals? And don't say auto auctions because most people do not have access to them. In most states you need a dealers license, or at least a tax id.
