mines is dead after a month of not driving. ( building motor). anyways what brands are good? Should i jsut get any from autozone or schucks?
When I needed to replace my battery a couple of years ago, I shopped all over - Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Autozone, dealer, independent mechanic, etc. I was willing to pay a little more for one with a longer warranty. The best price I could find was at Costco, whose Kirkland house brand batteries are made by Johnson Controls, one of the largest battery manufacturers. It comes with a 100 month warranty. At the time they were $37, which beat everyone else by $20, although I think they've raised their prices since then (mid-forties, I think). It's been working fine ever since.
Every Battery my family has used that completely drained never held a good charge after. I got an Interstate Battery with my Integra and it worked great in heat and cold, it sat for 4 months because of my lack of a job and the battery completely drained, I hooked up my charger on a low 2amp charge and let it charge fully for a few days. It works just as good now as it did before it got drained. I would recommend Interstate to others.

I have had an optima red top in my car sense 05. It had a little trouble starting on the really cold days this year. But still that pretty dang good. The only downside is the price. I think I paid around 140 but it is supposed to last 6 years whereas most only last 4 and its dry cell so it never needs any maintenance.
"Optima Battery Red Top batteries have a 72-month warranty. They carry a 3-year replacement warranty and are prorated after 3 years"
Thats the from summitracing.com

I went through 2 optima red tops. For some reason they always lost their charge and died. So I gave up on them. I've been using Energizer batteries in my GSR and my mazda3 from Pep Boys and they have been great. My GSR sat for 4 months and once I tried starting it, it fired up right away.

If your battery is dead from not driving your car for a month, then just recharge the battery. Jump start it or take it auto zone and have them recharge the battery, they do it for free. Just got mine charged last week, just left it there for 45 mins and came back to pick it up.

I installed an aftermarket keyless entry kit and it drained the battery over 4 months of sitting (CD player was wired up wrong also, but not my fault) and my Interstate Battery took a good charge and is still running good. Interstate FTW.
