89 Si seats will bolt right into a 90/91.

88-89 seat rail are different from 90-91 seat rail and they will not bolt right in, but you can make it work with a little work, what you would have to do is swap out the seat pans beteewn the two and that will make them bolot right in your 90

For hatches, yes, for CRX's, no. The seats work like this, and it has to do with pillar versus door mounted belts:

88 CRX = 89 HF = JDM/Canadian CRX = 88/89 US hatchback

89 DX/Si = 90/91 CRX

So, if he has a 90 DX, then 89 CRX Si seats have the same rails and are a direct bolt-in. However, 89 Si hatch seats will not work.

The difference from the SI to the DX or STD is features, such as seats and motor and interior. So if you do a seat pan swap (if the rails dont line up) then it will fit.

school is a great place to look up honda related things... seriously. i am at school right now.

but yeah, you will have to do a seat pan swap... or make a custom bracket.

the bracket would bolt to the seat, and then the rails from your 90-91 would bolt to it. it is easiest to do this method for any seats, really. i plan on doing this so that my 97 teg seats can go in my hatch... but i gotta learn to weld.
