Default Price???

Hey im looking soon to buy a ls block to start building on. what would be a good price for one cause i dont feel like getting ripped.

You should be able to get a LS long block for about $500 - $800.

A short block should run you about $3-400.

Also, if you are going to mess with the internals anyway, you can find high-mileage LS short blocks with bad rings for $50-100

I just snagged a GSR short block for $450, the LS should be less.

Golden Eagle MFG is still running their special on sleeved blocks. They aren't too much more after final bore and hone.
