hey i want to lower my crx but i want to find out if the cheap camber kit from ebay are any good? has anyone used them?

you could buy egay... or you could do it right the first time.

 

yeah i know i dont do any kind of racing or autocross, just for daily driving so i dont want to spend a lot of money on suspension. you get what you pay for but just wondering if anyone has had ny problems or if they work good enough to do the job.

 

Why do you need a camber kit? my car is lowered without a camber kit, I have about -2.5 degrees of camber and my tire wear and alignment are fine. It's really just a waste of money to get the camber kit. It's also a muthaf***** to install these if you don't know what you are doing and expensive to have done by a mechanic, plus they will end up telling you to replace a bunch of other parts so they can make as much money of you as possible.

 

If you have the upper A-arms that you can press the ball joint out of, maybe SPC adjustable balljoints will work for you? Just an alternative that has proven history (a little more money, but not going to break the bank like Skunks).

 

i would never trust a no name ball joint.... that thing breaks on a pot hole at 60 mph on the freeway your in a serious accident.....

is your life not worth the extra 150 bucks for a reputable quality brand?

this is what i thought about when i decided to spring the extra money for my camber kit....

 

also a great option if you have pressed in upper ball joints

 

I have read that the CRX is a "replace" only for the upper control arm/ball joint assembly, and the control arm may bend if you attempt to press it out. I have been searching around for a good camber kit as well, but I am considering performing the washer trick on the upper control arm bushing mounts, should cost about $5 and be rock solid.

yeah i will probably just save up to get the skunk2. i was just wondering if anyone had tried those ebay sets. thanks everyone for inputs.

 

also i think the ebay sets look nothing like the real things, the skunk2 front camber kit looks like the whole top assembly whereas the ebay looks like washers....

 

My friend has the red ones on his 10 sec da and they have held for years now.
Im going to get the red ones soon when i get the cash. I know plenty people that run them with no problems.

It depends on the year - double check, but I think the 90/91 have the pressed in UBJ.
True that Honda won't sell you anupper ball joint and requires you to buy the entire UCA, but the adjustable UBJ is aftermarket made to work with the Honda UCA.

 

Save. Then go with the Skunks

 

Don't need one, save your money for something better. People are dropped 4" and have almost no camber wear on their tires, so don't worry

 

i used a ebay camber kit and it worked great it lasted till i sold the car and i know the new owner and its still going strong. Thats been 3 years

Not advertising buying no-name ebay stuff, but I know a few people who have had there ebay camber kits for a long time and mash all the time, and havent had a problem. As for ball joints, just get some OEM ones

NO, the bolts strip out after a few adjustments. It is worth saving up a few more $'s to get a better set.

 

there junk, after a month or two the ball joint boot teared now my ride is squeaking like a mthfuker. Do it right the first time and save your self some labor time for installing and reinstalling.

Also my buddy has a itr with skunk2 pro camber kit front and they hit is shock tower pretty bad and he is not even slammed so side note to anyone who wants to be slammed and needs front camber kit.

 

just dont buy anything form ebay i got my clutch from ebay and my throw out bearing wear out fast like not even a week. but the legit one

 

anybody have any experience with the ebay suspension kit below...i need to change mine and going to the dealer or the auto parts store is just murder on the wallet for the same parts...!!!

Get a 4 wheel alignment.
