TI is kinda ****-ish...and there are some REAL D-Bags on there. However, their articles are decent. I'd recommend them for anyone wanting to get a basic knowledge of performance, maintenance, etc of B-Series engines.
If you want REAL engine BUILDING knowledge, there are a select few that are here in the AM forum of HT that really can REALLY take you to school!
But yeah...that's a good article...good find...even if it ISN'T the original place it was put up.

Check out their Performance Articles....there are some good ones on there.

i bet it doesnt.
i think its safe to say that most everything you can do to a honda B-series engine has been covered somewhere on here by someone. good thing the search function doenst work to well so people have to make new threads to get answers to questions that have already been answered on here. otherwise we would all be reading and not posting.
most people are content to have 20-30 more hp than stock for a 1000 or so bucks vs spending 7-10k and extracting the other 50-80+ thats available in street form.
whats even more interesting is the movement towards DIY.

They worship that guy MichaelDelaney like he knows EVERYTHING on there....but he's not active, anymore. He's "passed the torch" on there. And some of the guys that have picked it up are REAL D-Bags. The whole "MD said this...so, it's TRUE" attitude drives me nuts. I admit, the guy knows a good amount of stuff...but if you look at the top echelon of knowledge on HT (Admittedly, you have to know where to look and who to listen to on here, though) and compare it to the top echelon on TI....
It's like comparing Middle School students to PhDs.
I have an Integra...so, I go on there for some things....and there ARE SOME cool folks on there. But I think I'm just looked at as a troublemaker on there.

Isn't this migration following the natural order of things. Basically, guys like yourself, Shin, Hsu and others moved from shops and swaps to companies offering parts that used to be the domain of mostly racers.
I remember in 2001-2002, shops used to charge 1500 to 200 dollars for just basic swaps. Now, with the proliferation of mounts, jumper harnesses, etc. Any one can do it in their garage.
I mean basically with about $2000, the internet, some mechanical skill, and willingness to learn a novice can put together a 1.8L motor with 180 to 195 whp SAE. In the late 90 and early 2000s, this is used to be very expensive.
One other thing that has fostered this migration is expansion of tuning tools, dynos, tuners, etc. Alot more people can now tune that ever before.
