Default steering wheel feels loose help me out..!

for about a couple years now ive gotten used to this loose feeling steering wheel while driving. its not as firm and stiff as it used to be for some reason. ive had 3 alignments done since ive noticed this but i also thought it was the tires but its not. for example driving even at normal speeds the steering wheel just jerks to one side like its a sudden gust of wind that blows my car for no reason. the car has low mileage and has never been tracked. i did change the steering wheel to a jdm one could it be that its not lined up correctly?? tie rods?? it does pull slightly to the left even after the alignment and i have to hold on to the steering wheel while driving cuz it doesnt hold . at highspeeds it can be very dangerous! it feels extremely loose and i try not to go past 90mph . any ideas?

What did the alignment data show? Caster, Camber, Toe and thrust angle? Need more info...

Also, are all the suspension parts OEM? Bad LCA bushings can cause the symptoms you are having, a new set of Omni LCAs had such soft/shitty bushings that it made a friends 97R drive like complete ****, switched to new OEM's and the car is perfect again.

I was just about to search on the forum for the Same Exact issue i am having. I just drove my friends GSR like 15mins ago to compare, and his steering is definitely firmer.

I remember searching it a while ago, and people said there is an adjustment on the steering rack.

Can anyone confirm this?

i just had a mechanic check my suspension and said everything is ok.. he says its something to do with my steering column or my caliper might be freezing up..

We thought the same thing on the car I was talking about. On a lift it all seemed fine...

We replaced: Outer and inner tie rod, steering rack, misc bushings. Same problem. Alignment showed perfect. Put a screwdriver into the mounting hole for the LCAs and noticed how loose the bushings were, replaced, fixed. On the plus side, it did need new tie rod ends anyways, and it never hurts to have a new steering rack I guess
