Default Harbor freight ball joint press kit

Would this kit be suitable to replace my front lower ball joints? Ive never done it before so i dont know quite what adapters to look for when looking at the different kits, and paying $100 somethin dollars to rent and then get all my $ back seems pointless then i can just buy this kit for $40 and have it for a lifetime, if it will work

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=38335

Does that one have the adapters and fittings I would need to do it? if so im just going to buy it and call it a day

TIA.

Hmm good deal. I'd rather pay 40% of the full price of one from advanced or autozone or something and half it for life than rent it when i need it for free and deal with paying the price and driving back and forth just to get my money back.

Well i bought it and started on my hyperflex kit + lower ball joints tonight.. the kit isnt worth a ****. Doesnt seem to fit to get anough leverage on the joint no matter what position and none of the cups that come with it are deep anough to use so the joint can be pressed all the way through before it bottoms out.

I have that kit. It was too short to press the joint back in. I had to reverse the "cap" and hold it in position so I could tighten the c-clamp to full seat the ball joint. I didn't have any problems with getting enough leverage. For only $40 bucks, it was ok. On my friend's car we use the loaner ball joint press kit from Advance and it had a cup deep enough to press in the entire ball joint.

Actually I did figure out a way to make this work, not with the couplers that come with it though. Take your knuckle off, take the rotor and dust shield off, and then instead of the coupler on the bottom use a tall like 34-36mm socket i believe i used for the balljoint to press through and put the circle piece on the bottom of the socket and tighten it up with the part that isnt threaded seated on top of the blal joint. Then hit it with a impact, and it was right in.
