thats the price off the cage and chute alone. I think NRG has a SFWD package for like 2700.

Either way a decent 10pnt cage will run no less of 1800.

At the end of the day it all comes down to the quality of work you want done in the car. Its just like anything else. A car with a good cage will hold a better value. Here are a few prices of going rates for chassis work....

10 pt cage....$2250
custom window net setup $250
kill switch setup installed $250
5 point harness installed $250
mounting of seats $150 each
parachute setup with chute $800, without chute $500

These are just a few prices of going rates on chassis work, you have to sit back and see if the car is worth the amount you are paying for it. Is the work up to par in the car your looking at is one thing you have to sit back and look at. Does the car need updates?

Its just like anything else, you have look at what you are really paying for and see if it is worth it.

2500-3000 is usually the going rate for them. That's what we normally charge for the "9sec" cage setup.

if you can buy a chassis that already has a certified cage in it with some of the other safety stuff you can definitely save some money over paying to have one built for your car by a reputable fabrication shop

but it is also nice to have a cage custom built in your chassis the way you want it too
