is there any way to restore the window seals on the back hatch and the quarter windows? Mine are just barely starting to do that speckled disintegration for the lack of a better term. I guess replacing is the best thing but just seeing if anyone has come up with a crafty way to care and improve them.

 

hmm... id be interested in knowing if theres a way to repair it too, as some of my weather stripping is getting pretty battered. im afraid im going to have to break down and buy new oem stripping though.

 

yeah, really its my 2 side moldings and the rear glass molding. Looks like its about 300$ worth of seals. Can you buy the quarter glass moldings seperate from the glass?

 

Nope, that is why the piece of glass is so much more expensive the driver and passenger side windows.

 

Sounds like your moldings are oxidated...
I'd try to revive them like buffing them like you would with oxidized paint or replacing them.
