please vote guys...I'm doing some research for my paper, plus I figured the results would be interesting for everyone
Its a known fact that most advertised HP gains are usually off. Not necessarily because the manufacturer has stated false information, but in many cases, there are multiple factors that can make a difference from the test vehicle to one user over the other.
Unless you really know the testing factors, specifications of the vehicle, its modifications, etc, how can you really compare that to your own vehicle. Advertised gains are mainly a marketing tool to show potential gains of a product, but it doesnt mean you will get the same results. Results will vary of course. With most reputable products its not false advertising, but mainly a showcase that the product does have performance gains and will help with performance on your vehicle.
