Default Constant Driverside Bearing problems

hey guys im having constant driver side wheel bearing problems on my 97 Acura 2.2CL. i just replaced both the hub and bearing for the 4th time in 3 years of being lowered. so after the installation i use the lift at my job at honda to change my oil. and for the hell of it i took my tire off to see if there was still play in the whole assembly. there was. this was only 5 miles of driving and 3 hours after installation.

why am i destroying this bearing so often? im borderline slammed and are on these stupid ignalls camber ball joint kits that im not even using? could the spindle or knuckle be bad? or could it be the aftermarket ball joints? i really wanna figure this out. im sick of replacing them on this one side.

A/M ball joints are a possibility. Pressing them in wrong is a good reason. i know on the new gen civics the bearings can only go in one way not sure for ur TL. alos the fact that ur slammed and not letting the bearing break in properly might destroy it. only after 5 miles definatly sounds like it was pressed in wrong

i got them pre-pressed into the hubs from this accord superstore website called TASauto.com.

forgive my noobness but whats A/M ball joints? im assuming its the same thing as the ball joints pressed into the Upper Control Arms?

It could be that your car is dumped and the angle that you are riding is screwing them up.

I'd bet your wheel bearings are fine, and it is a ball joint.

Either the ball joints are shot or one of the castel nuts is not tightened down.

that ball joint is actually in not that good of shape. i didnt think a bad ball joint could effect the bearing.

It really wouldn't.

What I am saying is that the ball joint is what is bad and you keep mistaking it for a wheel bearing.

how do you know its the bearing? dose it make the bearing noise? or you just going by play in the wheels. when you press the hubs out the race is still on the hub so all the ***** can fall out.

it has a horrible pounding noise and theres tons of play. but its only on one side. this is the 3rd bearing ive replaced in a year. and now the bearing im putting on now will be the 4th.

ive been told at work that an alignment can improve my problem.

more than likely your hub is out of specs. Every wheel bearing I did on FWD Hondas, I needed to replace the hub as well.
