My car was stolen!
Guys,
My 1989 Honda red Civic STD hatchback, vin # 2HGED6341KH547807 was stolen out of my driveway last night while I slept. Be on the lookout for the following parts on the used market:
16x7 Buddy Club P1 QF in gunmetal with Yokohama A520s in 205/40-16. The wheels would be very easy to spot, since 2 of them have some small gouges on one of the spokes, about 1/2 way between the hub and the lip. Tires are worn, 2 of them have some camber wear on the outside, since I bought the tires used, and mounted them up with the worn portion to the outside.
Carbon Fiber hood, in good condition, also distinctive, as there is a small flaw in the weave that I could ID in a second.
Tein coilovers, non adjustable dampening, no helper springs, adjustment collars are the old style, with pure round aluminum, with 4 knotches cut out for wrenches. The rears are ITR style mounting, and the rear trailing arms are the 88 Civic ones (stamped steel, with eyelet style shock mounting).
1989 CRX Si front seats
Momo black leather steering wheel with black center section, and aluminum spacer to bring the wheel closer to the driver. Wheel not exactly like the one in the photo.
Momo shift ****, Race model, leather top, alloy bottom:
JDM SiR cluster with 9,500 tach and 180 kph speedometer, no miles per hour, and about 75,000 kms on the odometer.
Homemade short shifter, but this one will be hard to detect, because I did such a good job on it, it could be mistaken for store bought.
2 1/2" axle back exhaust, painted with black header paint. The paint shows some imperfections from the 1st paintjob flaking off. Walker Dynomax muffler, and several sections of mandrel bent piping, welded together to make up the piping.
There's more, but I can't think of it right now. If you guys hear anything, or come accross any of these parts, please let me know right away.
Thanks

Thieves will always get waht they want.. It sucks that it happens to the honest people who modify their cars without the threat to others. Sorry to hear about your mishap.

I feel your pain...soon I think everyone here will have a stolen car at some time...its been 2 for me so far...I dont think theives ever deserve to be happy if they are cought. They are not just stealing a car...but someones hard work, pride and acomplishment. I hate theives and if I ever catch one...man...I dont think I could take someones life, but I would come damn close...Im going to check the usual for your stuff (ebay, parts trader, yahoo, other boards). Keep us posted!!

I hate theives...and that comment about everyone will have they're car stolen once, scares me...I'm a non-violent person...if I catch anyone trying to steal my car...I WILL kill them...I'll go to jail to have one less theif on the street...or I'll lobby to do to thieves that they do to them overseas...get caught...you lose your hand...
Sorry to hear about your car, I know how it feels. I hope you get your car back in one piece/ you get a lot of money from insurance. This is one of the big reasons I'm getting out of the Honda scene.
You notified the police right? (Dumb question, I know...
Dude, I totally feel your pain. But like a few others said above, you did honest work, and at least YOU know that YOU are honest - you're not a thief. The bad guys will get what's coming to them, maybe not soon, but they'll get it.
Good luck.

oh man, that really sucks. I'm in Vancouver, I'll keep an eye out for your stuff. What are the jerk-offs at ICBC going to give you for it?
I would guess an 88 Civic std. is worth around 3-4K can$??? Did you have an alarm, or have your car appraised?
Anyways, only thing to do is build a better one next...
cheers & good luck
