Strange Proublem
ok so i got the exhaust connected on the CRX on Saturday. Sunday i got my nice new 12s and amp installed. drove to work this morning and experienced the worst misfire issues of my life. only thing is can come up with are these.
1. switching out the O2 sensors (issue here is that ive only been running one since i got the car and it ran fine until today.
2. something about switching pins on a P03. (i have a p72 ECU)
3. low octane gas. (just filled her up with 93 yesterday)
4. Bad grounds/ vacuum lines (grounds are good, and all the vacuum lines are hooked up with no leaks)
5 Electrical issue distro cap, plugs, plug wires, ect ect (there all new)
so here is my problem in detail... from idle my car runs fine soon as i give it gas however it starts to misfire. it only seams to do this when it reaches operating temp. when you first run the car it runs fine until it reaches operating temp. once temp is reached however even if your just sitting and gas it she misfires out the ***. if you watch the tach it jumps around and goes nuts. let off the gas and it idles normally. until you go to give it gas again. any suggestions?
quick note its a 91 HF with a B16A JDM swap. i know ppl always leave that out somewhere

checked for codes got one for A/F ratio but i know that its running a little rich atm. and yes im sure that its not just the tach jumping around its almost to the point of stalling out but it doesn't die. the idle just goes to about 100RM <---not a typo it is 100

Why would you forget about asking for codes? It's the engines way of telling you whats wrong.




Running rich could be the cause of the problem. You sure your map sensor is plugged in correctly? No leaks in the pipe heading to it?
