Yet another vibrant catback install
Hey guys (and gals?),
I posted this on 8thcivic, but I thought I would share it with you folks..
I just got my vibrant catback exhaust in from Tiago over @ VR-Speed last Friday. I installed the exhaust on Saturday. I could not be happier with the looks, volume, and tone of the exhaust.
At cruising, the sound is very tame. Although, when you lay into the throttle, this exhaust really opens up.
I have seen a bit of a MPG increase with the exhaust installed. This is my first "performance" modification to my FA5, and surely not the last.
As for the install goes, everything fit like a glove, and all went smoothly (except for getting the bolts off of the back end of the cat). I was skeptical about the sleeve that is used for the install, but I have not noticed any leaks as of yet...and I will be keeping an eye on it. I did the installation in a bit of a hurry, as the weather was beautiful up here in MA this past weekend, so I was not able to take any pictures during install. I will take some pictures of the exhaust on the car, and I will be posting a chase-cam video of the exhaust...similar to the one me and a buddy did on my old WRX. Now, onto Tiago over @ VR-Speed. I contacted Tiago last Tuesday to order this exhaust. The order was placed late Tuesday night, shipped Wednesday, arrived Friday. His prices are great, and shipping is fast. My exhaust did not suffer any damage during shipping. VR-Speed is a new-er company, and he is working hard to get more content on his site. If you are looking for something and cannot find it on his site, contact him and I'm sure he can get just about anything your looking for.
This system is $482 shipped.
