Fully Built Motor - Break In Questions...
Alright people of honda-tech,
I have built this motor from the bottom up and have spent the last couple monthes building this engine. I have installed pistons and rods so the engine has fresh rod bearings. I never removed the crankshaft so the engine retained the oem main bearings. My machinist looked over the block and said at most, the engine had 10k miles before I tore it down. The cylinder head has been completely worked and all new cylinder head valvetrain has been installed. Thats the most of my worries. The car does have a brand new clutch and flywheel also.
Thats the situation, now I heres what I would like to know. The car has the factory p72 ecu. Not chipped or anything. I have drove the car like this for a little over 20 miles so far. The highest rpm I have took it so far is 4000. What else should I do for break in?
