Sand in My Cylinder Wall?
well the other day my 94 integra started smoking. so i decided to change the head gasket thinking that i blew the head. what i found out was that my head gasket was fine. but i had water in my cylinder wall and it had some sand in it. i flushed it out. anyone got a clue what is wrong with my motor and how sand and water got stuck in there?
Check your air filter, intake for loose connections.
As far as you pulling the head just because you saw some smoke was jumping the gun IMO. I would have been doing a bit more investigating before pulling the damn head off. But to each there own.

did you blow the head gasket? what actually happened... you need to find out of the sand was in the water from the cooling system or if sand got it through your intake system and just so happened to stay in the cylinders and at the same time you were leaking water/sand into your cylinders from a blown head gasket.. either way.. water in the cylinders is not a good thing
