Default Should i get it tunned?

ok i am getting ready to do a b18c1 swap into my 88 civic hatch and i am going to be using a skunk2 intake manifold header and full exhaust. my question is should i pay the extra money to go get it put on a dyno and tunned?

if those are the only modifications you will ever do then yes tune it.

if you are planning to upgrade other internals then save the tuning until you are complete. with the parts you are throwing on you wont gain the full potential until it is properly tuned but the mods you are doing are not drastic enough to cause and engine/driveabilitly problems.

You dont HAVE to, but you will squeeze extra power and run way harder if you get it tuned. Basically just get it tuned...

yeah those are the only mods i am going to do because i will be building a turbo lsv for my other car this is my dd

yes, tunning will get you more power, but if you dont care bout power than i wouldnt do it. waste of money. could use the money to build your ls/v.

you would get better MPGs and make more power with a tune. YOu could just get it street tuned no need to get a dyno tune on that motor unless you really wanna foot the bill for it

It sounds like you already know the answer to your question. Do it right and get it tuned.

very true i had a bone stock B16 and i got no better then 34 MPG and it has 241,000 miles on it and i just built a ls vtec and got it tuned and made 195WHP and i getting 33 MPG. So i mean for the power difference you will get better mileage and some extra ponies
