Default 96 jdm dc2-R LSD

Can someone help me please.
I have a 96 JDM DC2 Type R, from what i have read these early JDM vehicles were fitted with a Viscous LSD and not the Helical which was feature in later cars.

My querys are :-

1. How do I know what I have?

2. If I do have viscous - does this require the fluid to be changed or checked and if so how!?

Cheers

B.

Hmmm. Never heard of that story.
According to those HyperRev books, they are all Helical.
