Default 91 Civic Balljoints... Welded

I need to replaced the passenger side balljoint on my civic. So after thinking its just like any other car I went down and bought a balljoint.. HAHA. no.

It's welded in place. So after searching around here for a minute I found that the 88-89 civics should be welded in place and the 90-91 are bolted in. I also read that some times people switch out the 90-91 balljoint assembly with the 88-89 assembly. So my question is, would it be cheaper/easier to switch it back and or replace the 88-89 balljoint.

In either case what parts do I need?

They arent WELDED. There is a Lockring holding it in place. You have to remove the lockring and then use a Portable Ball joint press or a socket that just fits on top of it and press it out of the control arm. Make sure that when you put it back in you lube the control arm. Any other questions feel free to PM me!

Ok, so do I have to have it pressed in? And do I need a special ball joint? Cause the one I bought is threaded.
