Default MPFI can what?!?

ok... hi guys I got about 50 million questions rolled inot about 3... so bear with me...

Alright here goes... I get the whole mpfi from dpfi swap thing (I am getting prepped for it soon in my 89 dx hatchback) but can you swap a head from a d16a6 on a d15? (basically si head to the dx)

Question no 2... can I put a si cam into this thing after the swap with the d15 head?

Question no 3... do I treat this like a si when it comes to parts now after things are done???

I know It sounds lame but I don't want to screw up my ride by not asking stoopid questions. thanks guys.

The d16a6 is the Si engine. So that kind of voids question 2.

Q3: It'll depend on what parts your replacing. Name a specific part.

You can swap the heads also.

Someone else will have to chime in about the pistons, I'm not sure if they're the same.

As a basic rule, everything from the head up will be from an SI. Including those things you mentioned.

So will I just use the si harness to hook everything up or the hybrid dx harness for a hookup if I use the si head?

you need to use the dx harness that's been converted to mpfi no matter what. unless you're swapping to a k-series engine, you will retain the stock harness.
