Default Cooling Issues? Maybe?

Since I've owned my car I have never heard the radiator fan running, ever, My friend owned a 95 Accord and I could clearly hear his fan running even after he shut the car off. My car heats up and never goes past the middle point of the temp gauge, the valve cover gets hot, is that normal?

yes thats normal ud notice that ur coolant temp would spike while you idle. I doubt that its not working u would proly notice over heating issues while idling and stop and go traffic. I wouldnt worry about it its automatic so chances are you just havnt caught it coming on yet.

I made a 14 hour straight drive from South Carolina to New York and still never heard it turn on. I get in stop and go traffic all the time, I guess ill let it idle for like 20 mins tomorrow morning, I changed my oil and transmission fluid today so I guess I could let it work in.

If they wernt working rite ud notice trust me on this one. Just idling for long time or sitting in stop and go traffic would cause ur temp to push well over mid way point on ur temp gauge. Also you shouldnt hear them kick on unless ur standing in front the car
