Default NSCRA True Street Class Rules

John told me I could post up the rules for the new NSCRA True Street Class. This will be a class for May 3rd's Race at PBIR


Heads-up racing, Pro-tree (.400) class for FWD, RWD, and AWD Unibody chassis vehicles with functional doors. Any 6-cylinder, 4-cylinder, 2 and 3-rotor entries allowed. Air-cooled permitted. No restriction on power adder type or combination thereof.

Two qualifying passes permitted. Wheelie bars and one-piece front ends prohibited.

Payouts*:
Winner - $500
Runner Up - $200
Semi 1 - $50
Semi 2 - $50

*Payouts based on entries.
1-3 cars: Entries will be refunded and cars will race for trophy only.
4-7 cars: Full payout for winner and runner-up only.
8-16 cars: Full payout.

Body:
Import or domestic compact car bodies allowed. Lexan windows prohibited. Lightweight components limited to hood, front fenders, and decklid/hatch.

Interior:
Doors must open and close from inside and outside the vehicle. Door panels, dash, and carpet from firewall to behind drivers seat must remain stock appearing. No center drive configurations.

Chassis and Suspension:
Full tube chassis prohibited. Back-half chassis prohibited. No center drive systems. Suspension must remain in stock location mounting points.

Engine:
Any OEM 6-cylinder, 4-cylinder, 2 and 3-rotor motor entries allowed. Engine must be of automotive import origin or offered as OE in compact cars sold in North America. Air-cooled engines allowed. Motor swaps allowed as long as they stay within the same manufacturer.

Power Adders:
Turbochargers, superchargers and nitrous oxide systems are permitted in any combination.
(80mm turbo maximum)

Drivetrain and Transmission:
Any OE transmission or gearbox in OEM case allowed. Aftermarket transmissions or gearboxes prohibited. All transbrakes are prohibited.

Weight:
FWD 4-cylinder: 2500 lbs
FWD 6-cylinder: 2600 lbs
RWD 4-cylinder & 2-rotor: 2700 lbs
RWD 3-rotor: 2800 lbs
AWD 4-cylinder: 2900 lbs
AWD 6-cylinder: 3250 lbs
RWD 6-cylinder 2.6-liter or less: 3250 lbs
RWD 6-cylinder: 3500 lbs

Exhaust:
Exhaust system must have muffler exiting behind rear wheels.

Tires:
FWD 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder: 22x9.0 Slick (or cheater slick), and drag radial 28x10.5 or any street tires are allowed.
AWD 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder: Street Tires only (radials or DOT cheater slicks prohibited)
RWD 4-cylinder, 6-cylinder, 2 and 3-rotor: 28x10.5 Maximum Drag Radial (DOT cheater slick prohibited)

Safety:
All vehicles and drivers must comply with NHRA/NSCRA safety rules and regulations. Chassis certification and driver licensing must be completed prior to event.

NSCRA rules are subject to change based on the National Sport Compact Racing Association's commitment and dedication to competitive racing for every enthusiast.

i wasnt going to comment, but, this is starting to get a little ridicules. how the hell is a FWD car going to run an 80mm turbo with 22' slicks, LMFAO.
