i picked up a set of used springs and retainers. 2 things im wondering about...

1. does the inner spring clip into the retainer???
2. is the inner spring suposed to bing with the outer spring??

im wondering if the outer spring is skunk2 but the inner is not...... all the spring have a tanish color paint on the ends.

Take some pics. I know a person who can identify them by eye.

Why are you using "used" parts. The most abused part in a 4 cycle engine is the valve spring.

True or False:

Most valve springs lose 10% of their tension in the first 10 minutes of run time.

I've had this old school HKS exhaust on my DA for years. It has over 240K miles on it and the HKS has been on it for over 100K. If I ever do sell it, you know damn well I'm gonna say, "Barely Used! Only been on car for about 6 months and 10K miles!" LOL.

True,
I've read some valve springs may loose as much as 15% during break in alone.

Most people cannot distinguish one valve spring from the next. I've heard stories of thuglicious scum bags installing $400 "Toda" valvesprings, but really installing ITR. But they sure look alright.

To my untrained eyeballz, dey look good.
